Lucknow: Sumit Kumar, Hockey trainee of SAI Training Centre, Lucknow has been selected as member of Senior India Hockey Team for participation in Sultan Azlan Shah Hockey Tournament scheduled to be held in Malaysia from 23rd March to 30th March 2019. Master Sumit was admitted in the Centre in the year 2011 and is presently training under Mr. Arun Kumar, Hockey Coach. Sumit Kumar hails from Varanasi and is son of a Driver.
In addition to above Master Uttam Singh and Sharda Nand Tiwari both hockey trainees of SAI, Training Centre Lucknow have been selected for Junior India Camp scheduled to be held from 11th March 2019 onwards at Bengaluru in preparation for International Tournaments. Both the Hockey players joined STC in in the year 2015 & 2016 respectively. The father of Master Sharda Nand Tiwari is working as driver in Lucknow and the father of Uttam Kumar is a small farmer in Ghazipur.
